#i think what people need to understand about thor is that he’s not a total idiot #he may not be as sharp as loki #but he’s got a good head on his shoulders #see how he could convince all his friends in Thor to come with him when they all weren’t having it? #you’d need smarts for that #but on Midgard he just doesn’t get stuff like monkeys or whatever #but he gets along just fine #he didn’t recoil in horror at seeing a plane or a computer #but accepted them as a factor in Midgard that he doesn’t have back home and has the ingenuity to work with it #i get a bit annoyed in fic or whatever when Thor is portrayed as the great lumbering loveable idiot #that spends most of his day figuring out how a toaster works #as he’s really not
